The community is a master planned integrated senior living community to the north western fringe of Matamata, a small rural township within the Waikato District, approximately 40 kilometres east of Hamilton City and approximately 1 kilometre north of the Matamata town centre. The end product is anticipated to be of an executive quality finish and contemporary design, setting a new benchmark for high quality senior living in the town.

The senior living community site comprises two adjoining allotments, providing for a combined 21.3745 hectare block spanning between Peria Road and State Highway 27. The principals behind Matamata are Nathan Sanderson and Brendon Russo who are experienced in developing and operating premium senior living communities. The loan is upto a maximum of $13 million. The facility expiry date is 2/10/2026.
